How many cards of each type are in a Diaper Bird deck?

Each deck contains 106 cards: 8 diaper bird cards (4 tops & 4 bottoms), 24 green cards (12 tops & 12 bottoms), 24 blue cards (12 tops & 12 bottoms), 24 yellow cards (12 tops & 12 bottoms), and 26 middle cards.

Is this a kids game?

Diaper Bird is fun for kids (ages 7+) and for silly adults too. Very serious adults should avoid this game and do their taxes instead.

How many players can play at the same time?

This game can be played by 2-6 players.

What happens if I use up all the cards in the deck?

If the deck runs out of cards just re-shuffle the deck, place it face down on the table and keep playing.

If I pick up a card or steal a card, do I have to place it on the table or can I discard it?

Each card you pick up must be played on the table as long as there is room. If there is no room for the card, place it in the discard pile.

If I have no room left on the table to place a card, can I save it for a future round?

No, if you have no room left to place a card you must discard it.

If I draw or steal 2 cards that can make a Little Creep but I have no room left on the table to place it, can I still make the Little Creep?

No, you can make Little Creeps only where there are open spaces on the table.

Am I allowed to use a Little Creep to attack my own cards?

No, little Creeps can attack opponents’ cards only.

Does my Diaper Bird count as a Shmeirdo?

Yes, Diaper Birds are considered Shmeirdos because they contain a matching top and bottom card.

Am I allowed to use a Little Creep to take 1 card from 2 different opponents?

No, each Little Creep takes 2 cards from one opponent only. However, once a Little Creep attacks an opponent, you can immediately attack a new opponent using a new Little Creep.

Can I use a Little Creep to attack an opponent who has only 1 card left?

Yes, Little Creeps are allowed to steal the last remaining card from an opponent. This usually makes your opponent very sad.

Can I trade in my middle cards even if it destroys my completed Weirdo, Shmeirdo or Diaper Bird?

Yes, you can trade in any of your middle cards, even if it breaks one of your creatures.

Can I trade in middle cards AND draw cards in the same turn?

No, you must choose to either trade middle cards OR draw cards during your turn.

If I trade in the middle card of a matching Shmeirdo, can I combine the remaining top and bottom cards to make a Little Creep?

No, but you can make a Little Weirdo if top or bottom cards are combined with newly drawn cards, or cards stolen from opponents.

Are there any Diaper Bird expansion decks?

We are planning an expansion deck that will contain even weirder creature combinations plus a couple of wacky surprises.

What inspired the artwork?

The artwork was inspired by fun graphics from the 1970’s & 1980’s (Santa Cruz skateboard art, Garbage Pail Kids, Mad Magazine, Ed Roth Monster Hot Rods, etc.). Combining body parts into weird creatures was inspired by ‘Exquisite Corpse’ a very old and fun drawing game with a gruesome name.
